Kailee's One!

Kailee had her one-year-old birthday party a few days ago, and her mom brought her in for our special "Pat-a-cake" session. She was wonderful, loved the cake, and gave us some great expressions. Her slideshow shows everything. Well, almost everything.

Thomas

Thomas came over for his senior photos a few days ago and was great. They didn't really want any outside pictures, but we did a few, anyway. We're pushy like that. No, not really.

Anyway, here's his slideshow with the photographs.

He wanted to accurately portray how he spends most of his days in school. So he came up with this:

Our house

So, this morning we were hanging out in the living room and I decided to open the curtains. No big deal, except that last night some people thought our place would be a good one to TP. We still can't figure out why our house was targeted -- it must be a random thing. There was TP all in our trees and bushes, and shaving cream all over our door, windows, and my car.

The windows and car needed to be washed, anyway, so that was OK. Lots of neighbors came out and helped get everything cleaned up so it wasn't too bad.

I'm glad we were able to get fingerprints off the shaving cream cans that were left and one of our surveilance cameras got a few images that should be very helpful. ;-)

Brady

You know, this is so much fun. Brady came in earlier this week for his portraits and we all had a great time. Mom and Dad we so nice and really wanted to get in the pictures -- but didn't want their faces showing. They had some great ideas for the images. Take a look at the slideshow for more of them. Leave a comment below, too.

The Dryden Kids

We had the Dryden kids over for their portraits a few days ago and what a cute family they are. A little 3-month old and two older kids. Of course we did a "baby parts" session with the baby in addition to the portraits. It's all in the slideshow so look at all the pictures. Don't forget to comment right below.

Andria

Andria's senior portraits turned out wonderfully. She came in not really knowing what she wanted or what to wear, so she brought a bit of everything. We started outside at the park and the light was beautiful at that time of the morning. The studio images were great, too, and just for fun she did some of her cheerleading jumps -- how cool is that? Of course, they're all in the slideshow check it out.

Megan

Megan came in earlier this week for her senior portraits. She was so much fun and had no problem acting goofy and silly. It made for some wonderful images. The slideshow shows the pictures so much better than I can describe them. Take a look and then leave a comment about it.

Back from Minnesota

Well, we're back home from a quick trip up Nort by da lehk, doncha know? Actually we got back last Monday but we've been trying to catch up. We stayed with good friends and visited Lynn's grandfather, which was nice. Of course, it wouldn't be a trip to the Twin Cities without going to the Mall of America! These pictures were taken on the ferris wheel in the amusement park. Yes, it's all indoors, if you don't know what I'm talking about.

The Knull Family Portraits

First of all, I just have to say that I love my job. This afternoon we went over to the Knull's house for portraits of their 6-week-old daughter. It turned out to be a fun time for everyone getting their pictures taken. At first the six-year-old was a little shy, but she soon came out and was dancing, jumping, and giggling along with everyone else. Everyone was having fun right up until the end. And yes, we did get some images of the baby.

We ended up talking for almost an hour afterward. It seems we have similar backgrounds for where we've lived and things. Oh, and for those who've been following, these kids are Dalton's and Carson's cousins. Scroll down (or look through the archives) and you'll find some pictures of them elsewhere on this blog.

Of course, there's a slideshow of them. Enjoy!

Madeline at 6 Months!

Madeline came in a couple days ago for her six-month portraits. She is such a sweetie and so smiley, too. I was thrilled with the photographs when I saw them. Especially the bubbly ones near the end. I can't wait to see her again in a few months.

Here's her slideshow.

Surgery was a success!

Last Tuesday I (finally) had surgery on my wrist. I had injured it nearly three years ago and despite therapy and time, it was still bothering me. I couldn't really lift much with my right hand. And, you know, photographers never need to lift anything heavy, right? ;-)

So anyway, I went in early Tuesday morning and was out of the hospital by 9:00 a.m.! It went really fast and the recovery went well so they let me go. Of course, I didn't think it took any time at all, but my watch told me otherwise.

We had deliberately kept this week open with just a few things going on so I can recuperate. The bandages are now off and it's just covered with a big band-aid so it doesn't look as bad anymore. I'm able to do a little bit of work, but I can't do too much without it starting to hurt. The good news is that I should be good to go in a week, and we're looking forward to what September has in store for us.

Things are looking up, which is a great feeling!

Alexander 25th Anniversary Vow Renewal

This was so cool. The Alexanders' 25th wedding anniversary was a couple weeks ago and they renewed their vows. At the same place they said them the first time! It was so much fun being a part of their celebration. It was really nice seeing all their friends supporting them again. Lots of love in this family, for sure. Enjoy the slideshow.
