Erin is One!

Some of you may remember Erin, a real cute girl who's been on our Baby's First Year plan for about a year, now. Well, she's now one and celebrated with us with portraits and a baby-sized cake.

First up we had a little tea party.
Then she wanted to be in the rocking chair. Or, rather, she wanted to climb all over the rocking chair.
Her brother, JB, also came along this time.
And then on with the celebration with balloons and cake!
Erin did a great job on the cake. She really got into it. Bits of cake were all over her face and she had a wonderful time after the initial shock of "is Mom really letting me do this?" wore off.

Allison's Sr Portraits

We had a great time with Allison's senior portraits the other day. She's another one of our late-in-the-year seniors and was so comfortable in front of the camera.
Her smile was so relaxed and lit up her eyes each time.

Abby and Ella

Abby and Ella are our newest members of our "Baby's First Year" plan. Twins are always so much fun. They were here a couple days after Christmas for their newborn portraits.
They did a fantastic job and were good for so long. The hazards of naked babies showed up, of course, but we were all able to laugh it off. Dad got the worst of it.

Sara's Senior Portraits

Sara is another artist from the same school as Kelsey (see right below). She was up for some fun with her senior pictures, too.
The series of portraits like this next one is fun to see in the slideshow.
You know how some people have a "fake" smile they put on? Sara's is always genuine. 
I think this next one shows off her coat really well.

And there's that gorgeous smile again. It makes her eyes light up.

Kelsey's Sr. Portraits

We've had a bunch of High School Seniors come through lately and it's been great. For the most part, the weather has been cooperative -- we've had some warmer days here and there.Kelsey came by a couple weeks ago for her senior session. She had some fantastic ideas and outfits.

She has the most amazing smile when she decides to show it off.She's not your "typical" trend-following senior. She makes her own style. It's a trait that many creative and artistic people share.She was willing to try anything I suggested and had some great ideas of her own.There are a lot of images on this post, but even more in the slideshow, so check that out, too.I really like the way her shoes and dress work in this next one.

Ivy at 2 Months

Remember Ivy's newborn portraits? Well, she couldn't wait to do some more so we did some two-month pictures. This time we went to her place for a lifestyle session. That's where we use rooms, furniture, pillows, and blankets to show a more "homey" kind of portrait.This style of portraiture is great for showing how small babies really are.It wouldn't be complete without a Christmas tree photo in there.
