Ellia is (almost) one

You may recall the story of Ellia (the little girl with Treacher-Collins syndrome). There was an article in Columbus Parent about her in January (and I hear a follow-up article is coming). I posted about it in January. The last portraits we did were before her jaw surgery so her appearance has changed a lot since then. Last week I went over to her house for some updated pictures. We're going to be following her progress with periodic portraits (nice alliteration, eh?) after each surgery she has.
I wasn't completely sure how she'd act, but she was a doll. Blowing kisses and trying to get into everything.

Check out her slideshow and leave a comment.

Snowstorm!

Starting Friday morning, we had the biggest snowfall since we've lived here. As of late last night (It's Sunday morning) our street still hadn't been plowed.

I love the blanket of snow covering everything.

Madeline is Two

I really can't believe that Madeline is now two years old. I guess because we have a picture of her as an infant with her brothers I just think of her as a baby.
Well, she's an adorable two-year-old, now, and we decided to put up our spring set just for her.Make sure to see her slideshow for more pictures.

Team EAS in Columbus

If you've been following this blog, you know that I occasionally do some commercial work for Abbott Nutrition. Last week, for the Arnold Classic, several members of Team EAS (EAS is a division of Abbott Nutrition) were at Ross Park (near Easton) for media training and to visit with people. I was there bright and early at 7:00 and stayed until about 1:00, when everyone else went downtown to the convention center.

Then, in the afternoon, we drove to Dayton for the convention (see post below).

55th Annual PPO Trade Show and Convention

I think the title of this post is almost as long as the post.

Lynn and I went to Dayton last weekend for a big regional photography show. We got some great new ideas and managed not to spend a fortune. We saw (and heard) David Jay speak -- always great stuff.

Here's a picture of me, Lynn, Sticky Rammel, Jim Cook, David Jay, and Camille Ackerman.

Two Dogs and a Puppy

It's been a couple weeks, but I have to show you these three dogs. The puppy is the white-with-brown one. He belongs to Emily (remember her wedding in December?). The other two are her mother-in-law's. Emily's Mom came along for the session, too, and we were all having a great time.

I love it when she cocks her head like this:
He's perfect in our latest teacup:
What can I say? He's a puppy and full of energy. But a bit pooped out right here.
Always a princess:
Gotta love the tongue (more dog tongues in the slideshow).
We got him settled down a bit for a more formal pose -- but he was still ready to jump up!
Be sure to watch the slideshow for more pictures.

Ethan S at 4 weeks

Here's Ethan when he was just four weeks old. He looks so tiny on the stack of towels.
This is one of my favorites:
Be sure to check out his slideshow. Remember, you can click on the pictures to get to the slideshow, too.

Baptism of 5-year-old

Tommy got baptized a couple weeks ago! He was so cute saying his verse and was really brave to go under the water. He was so happy afterwards. He was thankful for the cake afterwards, too.

No slideshow this time. Just these images.

Vivian at 6 Months

We've been really busy with all the babies on our "Baby's First Year" plan. Here's Vivian, now 6 months old. The time really flies by. It seems to go faster in the Winter in some ways. She's getting so big. I know I say that about all the babies, but it's true!
Of course, Vivian has a slideshow to see.

Cub Scouts

Well, this is the last year of cub scouts for us (at least for now). The Webelos 2s are getting ready to cross over at the Blue and Gold Banquet coming up in a couple weeks. So, I guess this is the last time we'll be taking pictures of all the scouts.

Emma at 3 Months

Emma was here a couple weeks ago for her 3-month portraits. This time we did a baby parts session, too, and you can see how it turned out:
Be sure to see her slideshow, too, for more pictures.

Lexie at 6 Months

Yes, I'm trying to get caught up on my blog posts. Can you tell? ;-)
Lexie looked adorable for her six-month portraits. She was in a couple weeks ago and brought Mom and Dad with her for support (or something like that). Her mom found us at the Baby Bonanza last year and remembered us. Lexie was also here a few months ago for her 3-month portraits, but I don't think I blogged about that one. [Stay tuned -- I'll try to get a slideshow of her 3-month session up here soon]

Be sure to view her slideshow for more pictures.

Baby Bonanza on March 15

The Baby Bonanza is Back! For the second year in a row, on March 15, we'll have a booth filled with our work -- and portraits of your kids! We'll also be offering discounts on products that we're discontinuing. Things like photo jewelry, photo bags, and photo coasters.

There will be drawings for prizes, a kids' area, and probably chocolate -- and that's just in our booth. Check out the Baby Bonanza web site to see what will be going on and who else will be there.

Be sure to print out this blog post and bring it to our booth for a gift.

Creature Canyon (Y-Tribe) Father-Daughter Dance

Last month we did portraits at the Creature Canyon father-daughter dance. This is the third year we've done this and it's always so much fun. The group is a part of the Y-Tribe (formerly known as Indian Princesses) through the YMCA. What's really cool is that the dads do all of the work to make it happen. They do the decorating, planning, and facilitating. Everyone is always so nice there -- it's great that everyone thanks us after taking their portrait. And the girls are so pretty in their dresses.
This year we used our high-speed printer to get all the photographs printed and in frames before the event was over. It was great to be able to take the portraits, choose the best ones, have all 130 5x7s printed and then put in frames in just over two hours.

Please let us know if you ever want us to do the same type of event for your group. It really is amazing how fast we can get the prints.

Sorry there are no pictures on this one -- we don't have releases from the dads.
