Katie is One

Katie just finished up her first year of life and with that, she also finished her year of portraits. For her last session, we decided to go to the park so she could pick flowers and run around.

I like this first one. She really likes getting close.
And here, with her sunglasses. She keeps them on for about three seconds then off they come.
Like most kids, she loves to swing.
And here she is playing under the playground slide.
Picking flowers and leaves was a big part of the session.

Alex is One

Alex was here a few days ago for his first birthday. It's been fun watching him grow over the past year. (3 mos, 6 mos, 9 mos). As always, mom brought a bunch of props. The first few are for his Aunt, who sent him his uniform from Afghanistan. Here he is saluting.
This one is especially for his aunt.
Then we went outside to the "farm" for some driving.
Then back inside for the party.

Ivy at 9 Months

For Ivy's nine-month portraits we met over at her house for some lifestyle images. These are a lot of fun. We did something similar for her older sister several years ago and mom wants to put the portraits up together. Here she is in the pink tutu.Isn't that smile just beautiful in this next one?
It took a while, but she finally fell asleep in mom's arms.
This is how her room is decorated. It's the same room her sister was in at this age.

Austin

The other day it was kind of rainy when Austin came in for his senior portraits. Luckily, it was clear at first so we went out for the outdoor session first. He also brought along his guitar.


Austin also does fencing so we did some with his fencing gear.

Jay

Jay has always wanted to be a super-hero ... just kidding. But he did comment that it looked like a super-hero picture when he first saw this first image. This was another fun session we had last week. The clouds on that day were just amazing. I couldn't believe how dramatic they were -- I'm so glad we were able to take advantage of the sky.

We don't normally go to several locations, but we managed to get to the park and the stadium without the rain coming down. It was looking kind of dicey for a while.

This last image is at the rock in front of Coffman stadium. You'd never know it was all set up for the 4th of July with tables and trucks all around there. Getting the right angles so they wouldn't show was a little tricky, but it all worked out.
